Georgia Job Tax Credit

Question: Help with 2009 income tax return?
I’m 26 year old, single, male independent from Georgia who was on unemployment for most of 2009. I only made 5300 at my job before I was laid off and I was taxed a little over 500 federally and 300 from the state. I did collect 9500 from unemployment and was taxed about 1500 federally. I know I don’t have to claim the first 2400 of my unemployment but I was wondering if anyone knew about any extra things or stimulus’s that I could apply for. I made less than 15000 total for 2009 and was taxed about 2000 federally. I only have to claim 12400 since I don’t have to claim the first 2400 of UI. What credits or extra things could I apply for or claim? Could anyone please help me out? Thanks.
Answer: You don’t have to apply for the stimulus (called Make Work Pay) , they will give it to you on your refund for this year ($400) , you just have to make sure it gets figured in with the other refundable credits!
