Child Tax Credit Unemployment

child tax credit unemployment

Question: If im unemployed the whole year, will I get money back with the child tax credit?

I was laid off in december. My son is almost a year old. Will I get the child tax credit if I have been on unemployment? Does anyone know how much it is? I live in NC. I thought you got money every year until they are 17 regardless of whether or not you worked.
Thanks
okay, how much money would I have to make to get the full tax credit? Do you know what the maximum I could get is?

Answer: Need some EARNED lincome, not unemployment. You have time to get some Earned income which can GREATLY increase the amount of refundable tax credits you receive when doing this year’s taxes nexxt year.

Irs Tax Credits For Hybrid Cars

Question: Yet Another IRS refund question?

I electronically filed my return on February 4 and was given a direct deposit date of February 15. I also filed two other returns for my son and a friend on the same date. They both have received their refunds as of today, but I haven’t received mine. When I checked the “where’s my refund” website, it states that my refund is being processed and I should receive it on or before February 26. I did have additional forms that my son and friend didn’t have i.e. the 2007 hybrid car tax credit and the educational credit. Could that by why mine did not get deposited and the other two I filed on the same day did get deposited when scheduled? I have used e-file and direct deposit for about 7 years now and this is the first year that my refund did not get deposited on the scheduled date.
Sorry, correction, I did not file the education credit, it was the education deduction of $4,000. This form was not one of the forms supposedly affected by the AMT.

Answer: All returns that included the education credit were delayed by the IRS until February 11 due to the delay of Congress in passing the new AMT income levels. Even if you were not subject to the AMT, your return processing was delayed.

Question: Who should I contact if I’ve been scamed, out of my last years tax refund?????

I went to Express Tax in Millwaukee, WI in January 2006 to file my 2005 tax. I was approved for a RAL loan; however I was not informed at that time that I was due to receive the balance of my federal refund by check. It was not until today when I went to H&R block that I found out that I was due the balance.
When I contact Express tax service that informed me that the check was sent to there office and signed by some one who apparently frauded me out of my refund. Who can I contact to bring legal action against this company I did not even know about it and if I had received the check it would have been deposited into my personal credit union account. I feel that I have been scammed. Do I contact the IRS? Should I contact the bank and let them know I never received a check? When I asked the people at this company they refused to give me the name of the bank.

Answer: If you have been scammed then go to the local police and file a police report. Also put a freeze on your credit report.

Tax Credit For Adoption Expenses

Tax Credit For Adoption Expenses

Question: Should mothers who keep their babies get the same tax credit as those who adopt?

There’s a special tax credit of $11,650 for out of pocket adoption expenses, why not one for mothers who keep their babies? Don’t they have out of pocket expenses, too?

Answer: OK my opinion….

Yes this tax credit will help adoptive parents, but I do think that it should be ONLY for the foster care parents whom choose to adopt the child. Why you ask? Because it is expensive when you adopt, most of the foster parents arent doing it because of infertility etc. We are adopting our foster children because we have come to love them unconditionally, and have bonded with them as our own children.

Now I am not trying to put down or insult the familys who cannot birth their own children, I am simply stating that as a foster parent I am not picking out the color, sex, etc. of my soon to be adopted child. I have sincerely fallen in love with the child/children and want them as a part of my forever family.

So I do think that the Tax Credit should be for Foster parents who adopt.

On the note of mothers who choose to keep their babies, then good for them, I have 2 bio-children of my own, I didnt CHOOSE to keep them for the yearly tax credit we get back from the IRS, We choose to keep them because there is NO OTHER CHOICE for us. We are married, we are ok on money, not rich, but our bills get paid, we have a roof over our head and food on our table. We may of had our children young, but we triumphed through the ‘out of pocket expenses’ for keeping our bio-children.

Just my serious opinion!
