Energy Credits By State

LEED v3, which is still fairly new to most people, consists of two exams – The Green Associate Exam, and the LEED AP Specialty Exam. The new exams, especially the specialty exams, are said to be significantly harder than the previous version of the exam, so it’s very important that if you are looking to pass a LEED exam in the near future, that you begin a smart study regiment, so you don’t have to fork over another couple hundred dollars for a re-take if you were to fail.
The best thing to do is not to worry about the passing rate, or failing – but to get a hold of the reference guide for the exam you’re taking, as well as a supplemental study guide to make your life a whole lot easier. It can be costly to get these preparation materials, but it can cost you even more to retake the exam over and over again.
There are many LEED study guides out there, so it can be difficult to choose which ones are the best for you. Also, please note that the USGBC will be coming out with their own study guides for each of the exams very soon (predicted to be sometime in October), so look out for those too. Since they are guides directly from the USGBC, they are sure to be as helpful, if not more helpful, than existing study guides on the market.
Another helpful tip is to make use of practice exams for the LEED Green Associate Exam or Specialty exams as much as possible. They will help you get familiar with how the questions and test is formatted, which proves to be very helpful in improving exam scores for everyone.
After you apply for the LEED exam and register for the date of your exam, setup a schedule to learn a few of the prerequisites and credits each day, only moving on to the next after you have mastered and memorized all parts of the credits, including the intention, benefits and environmental impact, implementation, referenced standards, related credits exemplary performance, and calculations, if applicable. Use the definition list in the back of the reference guide to understand any terms that you do not understand as you’re going through the credits.
If you are studying for the Green Associate exam specifically, then you will not be required to learn the details within the credits. You will, however, need to understand all of the various LEED green building strategies that span over all of the LEED rating systems. They are involved in the following topics: sustainable sites, water management, energy and atmosphere, materials and resources, indoor environmental air quality, and innovation in design. Also, make sure you catch the regionalization requirements and exactly how the LEED application process works.
Lastly, it’s important just to always keep your head up. It will be a tough process to learn everything you need to know for the LEED exam, but you will be rewarded for your hard work.
Greenexamacademy.com wishes you the best of luck on your exam.

Energy Tax Credit Washer

Water pressure washers are perhaps the most powerful cleaning machines available today. If you conduct a search on the internet, you may come across several varieties of commercial and industrial pressure washer machines, such as cold water, hot water, or steam pressure cleaning machines. Some of the classifications are easy to understand, while others may be a bit more difficult.
The first thing that needs to be understood about these machines is how they work.
How do Pressure Washers Work?
Pressure washing systems pump water onto hard and semi hard surfaces to wash away the dirt, dust, and other impurities present on the surface. One of the most important aspect of these machines is the pressure level, which determines the overall power of the system. Pressure is created by a pump that ejects water through a nozzle on a trigger gun.
The pump is usually powered either by an electric motor or by a propane or gasoline engine. For indoor cleaning jobs, an electric pressure washer is preferred, as it generates no exhaust or toxic fumes. For outdoor cleaning applications, propane or gas pressure washers are generally recommended, as they do not require use near an electrical outlet. However, if used indoors, a gas pressure washer requires proper ventilation due to its production of exhaust.
The following are some of the vital specifications of pressure cleaning machines.
Pressure Level
Pressure level is expressed in pounds per square inch (psi). This indicates the overall power exerted by the machine. The output pressure level of commercial Pressure washers and industrial pressure washers usually varies from 500 psi to 8000 psi. Higher pressure levels are suitable for more demanding applications.
Flow Rate
Flow rate is another important specification of water pressure washers. It specifies the amount of water being emitted from the machine, measured in gallons per minute (gpm). The flow rate varies from 0.5 gpm to 8 gpm.
A higher flow rate normally indicates a higher power. It also indicates increased use of water. A low flow rate is preferred for many cleaning jobs where water waste and drainage must be considered, especially auto detailing. In addition, if water is not abundantly available and the place does not have sufficient drainage facilities, cleaning professionals prefer a pressure washer machine with a low flow rate.
Temperature
Pressure washer systems can provide an output temperature of up to 330 degrees Fahrenheit. These machines are placed into three categories, based on the output temperature: cold water, hot water, and steam pressure cleaning machines.
Cold water machines provide water at inlet temperatures. Hot water devices can provide an output temperature of 210°F, while steam pressure washer machines can provide an output temperature of 330°F.
Steam pressure cleaners provide the greatest cleaning power by dissolving the most stubborn stains and residues; but the high temperature makes them unsuitable for use on heat-sensitive surfaces. The latest models of pressure washer machines offer all three types of output in a single machine. These are called tri-mode systems, enabling operators to reap the benefits of all three temperature options for varying applications.

Tax Credit Clothes Washer

Are you confused on the washer to buy in today’s overwhelming market? The market is full of very many types and varieties of washers from which to choose. On the various offered brands, there are several models and the technology used is different for each model. Therefore where do you start and how do you make your final decision. Here you will find some tips on how to choose the best high performance washers.
Load to wash
The load of clothes that you plan to be using the machine to wash will mainly depend on type of lifestyle and the number of members who are to use the washer. It is obvious that if you have a large family you will need a larger and powerful washer. The bigger the washer the more electricity and water it will consume. This will lead to high bills in the end. Therefore, when looking for high performance washers do not just get a large one if you have a small family for it will use up your wallet.
Front or Top Loading
There is a large price range between the front loading and the top loading high performance washers. The top loaders cost much less than top loaders. If your budget is less than four hundred dollars, you can forget about getting a front loader. In terms of technology, the front loaders are far more advanced than the top loaders with the greatest advantage being the ability to save water. The drums in the top loaders are vertical and you have to fill it up with water in order to begin the washing. The front loaders have similar drums but are horizontally positioned. The machine uses gravity to pull the clothes and water downwards hence helping in saving power and water. Additionally you have to refill the top loaders with water during rinse. Front loaders use sprays this helps save a lot of water. In the end, you save more on water and energy bills. The only downside is the initial investment that you will have to pitch in.
The other advantages of front loaders to top loaders are that the front loaders go easy on your clothes ensuring that your clothes have a longer life span. You do not have to lift up the heavy container of dirty clothes to transfer them into the washer you simply open the door and throw in the clothes
The good news concerning the efficient washer that is the front loaders is that since many households are purchasing them the price is greatly reducing and soon many homes will be able to afford a front loader.
These tips should give you a clue to what to look for. Remember, the front loaders may cost you more in price but what is really more expensive, having to pay a high price at once or having to pay more on your water and electricity bills. Make the wise choice and you will have the washer of your dreams.
