Tax Credit Gas Furnaces

Question: Trane or Carrier or Goodman?
I have a bad condenser and evaporator coil that need replacement. I have gotten quotes for replacing the whole system including the gas furnace. I have quotes for Trane, 13 seer replace the whole system for $4150. Carrier, 16seer for $4650(Eligible for tax credit). Goodman, 16 seer for $5500(Eligible for tax credit) or just replace the condenser and evaporator coil for Goodman at $2850, Trane at $3150, Carrier at $2950.
Can someone please tell me what is the best deal among these various quotes? Carrier after tax rebates cost me around $3200 and is 16 seer. I don’t know anything about this brand. I have heard Trane is the best brand among these and very reliable. Do I choose between, Carrier 16 seer and cheap price at $3200 or Trane better brand(?), reliable(?) than Carrier and at $4150 and rule out Goodman? Should I consider any other factors? Thanks in advance for your help.
Answer: First, I am sure Trane also offer a 16 SEER unit. Why didn’t you get all the quotes on the same basis?
All of the 13 and 16 SEER units are relatively new so their track record is not very well known.
I personally have three Trane units. They have done well but I like them because the contractor is first rate and very responsive if you call for service.
