Question: can we get tax credits in ireland?
We are thinking of moving to ireland longford or roscommon, we currently live in england and claim child tax, working tax credit and some housing benefit would we be able to get these in Ireland? Thanks for your help, Lauren
Answer: If you moving outside of the UK you wont be able to claims tax credits. Ireland is not apart of the UK and people living there can not claim.

I am working but my wife is unemployed but seeking employment, can we claim child tax credits.
Answer: If you are over 25 and work over 30 hours per week you can claim working tax credits
if you have a child and you are over 16 and working over 16 hours per week you can claim both working and child tax credits
Does not matter that wife works or not
