so i basicly got them free,
i got no need for them so i want to donate them to a non-profit
what type of organization would need such a vehicle most?Answer: I’d look into a “wounded warriors” or similar org that assists our returning servicemen. I had some durable medical equipment that I was able to donate to a local VA office and they were very pleased to be able to provide it to veterans.

Hybrid Tax Credit Prius
Question: Can I get tax credit for Hybrid car bought in 2007?
I bought a 2007 Toyota Prius in mid Oct 2007. I had not claimed for the tax credit and I had only filed with standard deductions(not itemized). I believe the tax credit was for about $1500. Can I claim this now and if so do I have to re-file with itemized deductions?
Thanks in advance.

June 1, 2009 — CARBONDALE, IL – Consumers will receive vouchers from the federal government to help purchase new, more fuel-efficient cars and older cars that damage the environment will be taken off the roads if legislation to establish the “Cash for Clunkers” program is approved by Congress, U.S. Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) said today. While discussing this effort to stimulate new car sales, Durbin promoted the tax credits made available through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act for first-time home buyers.

Is this another deficit busting program put together by the democrats?
Answer: Yes, and what will they go for next? Jay Leno’s old car collection? my old 84 chevy diesel, that runs good, but will be declared a clunker and not allowed on the road? Junk yards will be busy.
