Tax Credit Child Support

tax credit child support

Question: What do you think I’ll get back in taxes/child tax credit?

I’m a mother of 3 children, made less than $15,000. I will be claiming the children. Do you get a $2,000 tax credit for each child or does it only go up to 2 children or something? I live with my bf/kid’s father so he doesn’t pay child support because he is the main provider (pays for house payment & most bills).

Answer: I estimate around $8000. That would include the EIC and additional child tax credit @ $1000.00 each. Also, if any federal taxes were withheld from your pay, then you should receive that back also since your tax liability should be zero.
