Question: Will I qualify for the new Homeowners tax credit just announced today?

First time homebuyer who closed on my home February 11, 2008 – 2 mos short of qualifying for the $7000 tax credit loan and before the $8000 new homebuyer loan was announced.

I just read this article and am wondering if I would qualifty?

My combined income IS less than 225k annually and my home is under 800k.

Answer: You have not owned it for 5 years. You would have had to have bought before June 2005 to qualify.
