payments one for 34.00 and one for 64 but my claim has not been backdated can anyone help me? has this happened to anyone else and then recieved back payment sepretatly?

I consulted with a salesman about buying windows for my home around December 2008. The windows were installed the end of December 2008, but my first payment towards the windows wasn’t until January 2009. I am unsure if I qualify for the tax credit. Any insight is appreciated.
Can you get a credit in 2008 for new windows? I thought the credit was only implemented for 2009. Thanks!

Answer: The credit is based upon the cost of the windows only, not the labor to install them, and the date they are installed (placed in service) is what determines. So if they were installed in 2008 the tax credit would be good for 2008 tax year.

Question: why are tax returns taken when you owe back child support in Texas?

My brother owes $30,000 in back child support in Texas and wants to know if the state taking his tax refund constitutes a payment (credit) towards his monthly payment or is this just a method to get him caught up. PLEASE explain in detail!!!!

Answer: The returns are taken to cover the arrears in his support. It will NOT be considered a credit towards any monthly payment due at the current time. He needs to keep making those.

I ***MAY*** get a debt reduction.

***MAY*** is not a guarantee of help. You could get no help at all!

If you do not get the reduction, your debt will be back where you started and this doesn’t sound like any guarantee of help.

I would go to my mortgage company. The mortgage companies are receiveing help from the government , and are making great efforts to help people out of their problems.

Don’t get involved with a “middleman” who will charge you for doing what you can do yourself.

Your mortgage company is equipped to take care of you without the help of a middle man who will charge you.
