Doctor bills, Utilities, Gasoline (30 percent in addition to current taxes, which would not be repealed), and Legal fees.

The proposal to which Gov. Huckabee referred is not a 23 percent tax, but rather a 30 percent tax.

And it is revenue-neutral only through an accounting trick.

It will collect more money from those earning between $15,000 and $200,000 per year and less from those earning more than $200,000 per year.

It is possible that the FairTax would make most people better off, but much of that gain would be a direct result of making the tax code less fair.

Answer: I think most people just want to pay less, and believe conservatives when they say they will pay less. They never notice that all Republican and conservative tax changes end up with them paying -more-.

Conservatives have always tried to do away with progressive taxes and replace them with regressive taxes. Sales tax is the MOST regressive tax. It means that people who work for a living and have to spend most of their money pay more in taxes (proportionately) than rich people who can put money away. And the rich who put money away make more money on what they put away.

Conservatives in the US seem to feel it’s just immoral, somehow, to tax rich people. They don’t want to tax capital gains or dividends or inheritance. That means that people who WORK for a living have to make up all this money.

Question: I’m 18, live at home, and work full time. How will the stimulus bill help me out in the tax credit area?

To be more specific, I just graduated from high school (early completion), am about to start a full time job, will be attending community college possibly in the fall (depending if I can afford it at the time), and am living with my parents. What exactly is this tax credit from the stimulus bill and how will it work for me in my situation?

Answer: The tax credit is a joke. The only thing you will see is about an extra 7.25 per week coming home. They say over a year period it will be around 400.00 per person and 800 per couple. So, since you are not married you will see 7.25 more a week.. Dont spend it all in one place lol.. Like I said, its a joke.
