Home Tax Credit Mobile Home

Question: 7,500 tax credit for previously owning a mobile home?

Me and my wife currently live in a mobile home. It is in her and her x-husbands names. We closed on our construction loan a couple weeks ago and it will be done on October. I am a first time home buyer and the mobile home is on family owned land so there is no deed in my wifes name. Would we still qualify for this tax credit?
Maybe i should explain more… i’m not asking for a task credit on the mobile home. We are getting rid of the mobile home when our new home is finished. I am asking if we will be able to get the tax credit even though she has had a prinicipal residence in the past 3 years. It’s not a home with a permanent foundation, and it is not technically real estate. Does anyone know whether we would be considered first time home buyers(i am the applicant and she is the co-applicant)

Answer: There is no such tax credit. Part of the newest housing bill has a $7,500 tax credit but it has nothing to do with mobile homes or previous residences. .
