Question: $15,000 Home buyer Tax tax credit: In or out? 2/11/2009 @ 3:30 pm?
I’m at work, can’t watch the news. Any word on the $15,000 homebuyer tax credit? I can’t find anything on any websites, and again, can’t watch the news…
I know they mentioned scaling it back, but I can’t find any details. Let me know, someone??

Thanks Wayne. I figured it would be scrubbed from the bill. To me, that’s stupid. Basically they are applying a band-aid to a gunshot wound here!Housing is at the bottom of this mess, they should offer the tax credit to spur buying, stop foreclosures by allowing people to refinance, and fix lending. Only then will this turn around. Much of this is a waste of money.
(And I say this as a die-hard Democrat. Albeit a disappointed one)
Answer: Nope its out, glad we claimed the 7500 tax before they ax it also…i know it has to be repaid but it sure came in handy updating our kitchen
