Question: How long does it normally take for tax credits to be processed?
I started a new claim today as i have moved in with my partner, we have been quoted for working & child tax credits, I sent of the form this afternoon, How long does it normally take to be processed & actually get paid (I chose the pay weekly option) Thanks
Answer: it can take up to 6 weeks to process depending on the volume they have, as is currently renewal time it is likely to take this long but you may get lucky and get it sooner. Anything you are due will be backdated to your date of claim and you will get it paid back to you in a single bank transfer
