Tax Credit On Home Purchases

Tax Credit On Home Purchases

Unlocking Your True Shopping Potential

You work hard to earn money. This is why you deserve to enjoy the experience of shopping. Whether you just want to grab a new pair of jeans or are dying to totally change your wardrobe, having a good credit card can help you make those purchases without even touching the cash in your wallet. Thanks to credit cards, you can make purchases that are slightly beyond that of what your current cash budget may be. While you still have to pay for entire costs, the time you are given is equally valuable and in some ways, make a credit purchase wiser than one you make with cash.

Keeping Tabs on Your Expenses

By now you have probably heard all the horror stories associated to credit cards, from over inflated interest rates to huge untracked bills. Sadly, the causes of most of these misfortunes are the credit card holders themselves. Credit cards are a means to an end, but they should not be handled irresponsibly. Like any other form of financing, keeping track of the transactions is something you should do on your own. Every time you make a credit card purchase, make sure you keep the receipt and the transaction slip so that you are able to make a log of all your daily credit card expenses. This allows you to see the whole picture and understand your spending habits more.

The reason for doing this is simple. First, knowing your spending habits allows you to budget both your time and money appropriately. It also helps you trim down on what may be unnecessary expenses. Since you are able to see and track each purchase you make, you will be able to assess the most optimum spending scheme that works best for you.

Second, knowing the total of your credit card bills is very important. Since you are not spending the cash in your wallet, you are not directly aware of how much you have really spent in total. While you are aware of each individual purchase, and may even be able to give a good approximate of how much you have spend in total, there is just no way to ensure that you know exactly what your bill will be unless you kept track of all the purchases made.

Neglecting to keep track of this is one of the main reasons why people complain that their credit card bills are too huge, because they over use their credit card thinking that their expenses are not as big as they thought.

Budgets and the Power of Impulse Buying

Naturally, shopping brings the impulse to suddenly want to buy an item. There is nothing wrong with this, in fact it is a perfectly normal sensation and may often be good if you follow through with the purchase. The only important part is that you keep track of the purchases. As stated, if you know how much you are spending, then you will not go over budget. Naturally, when you feel that you are close to your spending limit, then you should wait until your next paycheck before you go shopping again.

Mortgage Bond Rally May End, Rates Rise as Fed Stops Purchases

Dec. 31 (Bloomberg) — Mortgage bonds are poised to slump after a record rally as the Federal Reserve’s unprecedented buying of $1.25 trillion of the securities ends as soon as March, driving up interest rates on new home loans.
