Irs Tax Credit Check

Question: Hope Scholarship tax credit?
If I make 10 thousand dollars a year and a freshmen at an eligible educational institution, will I receive a check from the IRS.
I am married, both me and my husband are students and our income will be reduced to zero with all standard dections and personal deductions.
Does this mean that i will get back all my withheld money plus tax credit for school from the hope scholarship??????
Answer: You will get all your withholding back. Unfortunately the Hope Credit is a non-refundable credit. You will not get a refund for the credit amount.
