Hybrid Tax Credit 2010

Question: What are the details on the Ford tax credit?
Does anyone know what is going on with the tax credit being offered by the Feds for Ford? I met with 4 dealers over the week looking to by the 2010 Ford Fusion hybrid; the dealers are claiming the vehicles are at least two weeks out. One of the dealers confirmed that they had sold one 2010 Fusion to the City Mayor. But I see a timing issue with the end date on the tax credit and the date in which the vehicles will actually be available. Am I the only one seeing this or do I just not have a good understanding on how the credit is applied? Any insight on this would be much appreciated.

Answer: If you purchase a qualified hybrid vehicle during 2009, you will be able to take a credit on your 2009 taxes. Honda and Toyota no longer have the credit because they have sold too many vehicles since the beginning of the credit. Talk to a tax advisor for the exact amount that you will be able to take next year.
Port Orchard continued to reinvent itself during 2009
Port Orchard Mayor Lary Coppola said the town was no longer “a red-headed stepchild,” and would soon make its mark as the best place in Kitsap to live or start a business.
