Question: Question about earned income credit and child tax credit?
In the past tax seasons i have watched many friends who would only have worked a part time job all year but would get a HUGE tax check because they had 1 child. i am just wondering how exactly are they getting it now that i have a child. is it because of Earned income credit or child tax credit or even both ? assuming that you can use both.
Answer: Depending on income you can get both child tax credit and Earned income tax credit (EITC).
As long as your income is uner 33241 you will get something, but you have to have a min income as well.
