Question: Filing for the first-time home buyer tax credit ?

I filed my federal taxes last week. I just heard about the first-time home buyer tax credit. I’m planning to buy a house this spring. Can i still ammend my taxes and apply for the tax credit? Thanks for any help

Answer: From what I understand, yes. You just have to send in a Form 5405 with your amended paper work.
