Question: I’m thinking about buying a 2008 Honda Civic Hybrid. I live in AR but the car is in AZ.?

What are the tax credits available if I buy a car out of state? I know it phases out depending on how many cars are sold for federal but on the state side, do I get any credits or do I have to buy the car in Arkansas?

Answer: I don’t know of any state tax credits for hybrids, only federal. Call your DMV and ask them.
